Big mugs, anyone?

Here we are on the last day of the month and it's time to post an update. Luckily I was able to make some pieces in April, guess it helped with the extra long winter.  😞 I went back to brown clay again and started off with some bigger pieces (mostly bowls) and also made some deep dishes.  And yesterday I made a number of big mugs (to be) with 600g of clay and they look quite huge right now.  They will shrink a bit as they dried up. Now that the weather is getting better....YAY 😄  Let's see how well I can keep the momentum going for the next few months.  😝 Big mugs to be

March update

March was again a slow month for pottery making.  In fact I didn’t make any new pieces this month. I did, however, started my first bisque load and here are the results. I didn’t have my soup bowls in time for Great Bowls of Fire, I guess these bowls can be saved for next year. And for Easter long weekend, I glazed some of these pieces.  I needed to do that quickly because I need to have 4 mugs ready for my parents to bring on their trip in mid April.  Now I just hope that the mugs turn out ok.
